HISTORY OF 3 COMPANIES

GLOBESHIP Corporation

  1. Company acquires 100% share of Biru Daiko Services and makes it a consolidated subsidiary.
  2. To improve the visibility of the GLOBESHIP brand, Nihon Building Integrated Management and Nihon Building Cleaning are renamed GLOBESHIP Integrated Management and GLOBESHIP Clean Service, respectively.
  3. Official newsletter "GS way" is inaugurated.
  4. To improve the visibility of the GLOBESHIP brand, reinforce group coordination, and mobilize group resources, Chiba Biru Daiko, Ibaraki Biru Daiko, Yamanashi Biru Daiko, and Ishikawa Building Services are renamed Chiba GLOBESHIP, Ibaraki GLOBESHIP, Yamanashi GLOBESHIP, and Ishikawa GLOBESHIP, respectively.
  5. As part of the reorganization of the GLOBESHIP Group, Nihon Hotel Services and Nitto Custodial Service are merged and named Nitto Custodial Service.
  6. Globeship Sodexo Corporate Service, a joint venture with Sodexo S.A. (listed on NYSE Euronext Paris), a French company that is a global leader in integrated facility management (IFM), is established.
  7. For the purpose of providing operation management, maintenance, and inspection services to photovoltaic power stations, TAG O&M Services is jointly established by TEC Project Services, GLOBESHIP, and ATOX.
  8. Company acquires 100% share of Nitto Custodial Service and makes it a consolidated subsidiary.
  9. GLOBESHIP starts.

Nihon Building Services

  1. Head office relocates to Shiba, Minato Ward. Company acquires ISO/IEC 27001 certification.
  2. Kashiwa Training Center(current GLOBESHIP Training Center) opens in Chiba's Kashiwa City.
  3. NBS Group Building Management System (wide-area centralized management system) is launched. Company opens the FM Business Office and Environmental Business Office.
  4. Nihon Building Services becomes a fully-owned subsidiary.
  5. Company joins Biru Daiko Group.
  6. 50th anniversary of foundation. Company acquires ISO 9001 certification.
  7. Company acquires ISO 14001 certification and opens the official website.
  8. Information in-house network NBS-LAN is launched.
  9. Company receives Environmental Award from the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI).
  10. Company acquires ISO 9001 certification
  11. Company acquires first ISO 14001 certification in the industry.
  12. Head office relocates to Shintomi 2, Chuo Ward, Tokyo, which is the Company's first own office building.
  13. Cleaning robot VASS autonomously cleans the outer glass wall of the control tower at Narita International Airport.
  14. Wall cleaning robot is exhibited at Renovation Techno Show 92.
  15. Company jointly develop a cleaning robot with CyberWorks (Canada).
  16. Wide-area centralized management system FABCON-NET completed.

  22. NBS Building Management Center (a centralized, broad-area management system) begins operations. Company manages a building area of 3 million sq.m with 3,500 employees.
  23. Company develops a remote management system "BS Pack" for small-to-medium buildings.
  24. Window cleaning service introduces U.S.-made window squeegee.
  25. Annual operating revenue reaches 1 billion JPY.
  26. Nuclear power-related work division is established.
  27. Japan Building Maintenance Association is established, with Company as the first chair.
  28. Company's trade name is renamed to Biru Daiko, operating with 2,000 employees.
  29. Company's trade name is renamed to Biru Kanri Daiko.
  30. Company introduces the dust control system. Company manages building area of 700,000 sq.m with 2,000 employees.
  31. Company secures the building management services contract for the Meiji Life Building (former U.S. Far East Air Force Headquarters, currently an Important Cultural Property).
  32. Nihon Building Services (NBS) is founded. Company manages a building area of 330,000 sq.m with 1,000 employees.
  33. Company secures the management services contract for TEPCO's head office building.
  34. Biru Daiko's predecessor Biru Cleaning Co. is founded.
  35. Nihon Building Services' predecessor Nihon Fudosankanri Co., Ltd. is founded. Company secures a comprehensive management services contract for the US Embassy.
