Declaration on the protection of personal information

Regarding the personal information of our customers, business partners, and employees that we use in the course of our business, GLOBESHIP will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant rules, as well as establish voluntary rules and systems considering social trends. In such spirit, we establish the Privacy Policy as follows and declare that we execute and maintain this Privacy Policy.

  1. GLOBESHIP establishes the GLOBESHIP Corporation Personal Information Management Regulations. GLOBESHIP will communicate this to employees and affiliates, and implement, improve, and maintain it.
  2. GLOBESHIP will take proper information security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, tampering, or leakage of personal information that we handle.
  3. GLOBESHIP will clarify the purpose of use of personal information. GLOBESHIP will ensure fair and lawful acquisition of personal information, consent for third-party provision, maintenance of accuracy and recency, and proper handling of disclosure, correction, and suspension requests or processes. Through these undertakings, GLOBESHIP will reinforce our customers’, business partners’, and affiliates’ and employees’ trust in our protection and handling of personal information.

Handling of personal information

1. Purpose of use of personal information

GLOBESHIP uses personal information within the scope of the following operations listed in (1) below, limited to a range minimally necessary for fulfilling the purpose of use listed in (2) below.

  • Building management
  • Construction work
  • Condominium management
  • Facility management
  • Consultation
(2)Purpose of use
  • Proper and smooth performance of operations associated with contracted management or construction work
  • Proper and smooth performance of operations associated with ① above (including service introduction and provision) and after-sales services
  • Exercise of rights and/or performance of obligations based on contract or law pertaining to GLOBESHIP’s business
  • Proper and smooth performance of other transactions with customers
  • Regular business communication and emergency communication
  • Proper and smooth performance of recruitment and screening of prospective employees, employment management, welfare and benefits operations, and information provision and communication with retirees

2. Provision of personal information to contractors

When GLOBESHIP outsources operations that handle personal information to an external organization, GLOBESHIP provides personal information to the contractor within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use as per 1. above. When outsourcing operations that concern personal information, GLOBESHIP will only select business operators that are deemed to be properly handling personal information. The contractor will use personal information within the scope minimally necessary to conduct the contracted operations. GLOBESHIP will only consign operations after entering into a service contract with confidentiality obligations. GLOBESHIP will also conduct necessary and proper supervision of contractors. If a contractor is subcontracting GLOBESHIP’s operations to a third party, the contractor is required to obtain GLOBESHIP’s consent beforehand. The contract concluded between GLOBESHIP’s contractor and the subcontractor will include the same obligations as the confidentiality obligation assumed by the contractor. GLOBESHIP will conduct necessary and proper supervision of subcontractors through contractors.

3. Third-party provision of personal information

Except for when contracting (subcontracting) or in the following cases, GLOBESHIP will never provide personal information to any third party without prior consent from the holder of the personal information.

    When statutorily required
  • (2)
    When provision of personal information is necessary to protect an individual’s life, physical safety, or asset and prior consent cannot be obtained from the holder of the personal information
  • (3)
    When provision of personal information is specifically necessary for the improvement of public sanitation or the promotion of healthy development of children and prior consent cannot be obtained from the holder of the personal information
  • (4)
    When GLOBESHIP is required to cooperate with a statutory or administrative affair conducted by a governmental agency (national/municipal) or its entrustee, and obtaining prior consent from the holder of the personal information may be detrimental to the performance of this affair
  • (5)
    When personal information is provided in relation to business succession due to a merger or other reason and that the personal information is handled within the scope of the purpose of use prior to the succession

4. Shared use of personal information

  • (1)
    GLOBESHIP may share your personal information with affiliates in the GLOBESHIP Group for the purpose of proposing services and answering inquiries.
  • (2)
    The items of personal information that may be shared for use are: the holder’s affiliation (company or school name, etc.), title or nickname, name, contact information (address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.), and content of your inquiry.
  • (3)
    The scope of affiliates in the Group that will share the use of personal information is as follows:

5. Disclosure, revision, and deletion of personal information

GLOBESHIP accepts requests for disclosure, notification of the purpose of use, revision of registered personal information to match the facts, and suspension of use of the personal information from the holder of the personal information. For specific procedures for such requests, please contact the following Help Desk. Please note that a service charge will be incurred for a request for disclosure or a notification of the purpose of use.
